Eggnog Truffles are no bake, holiday cookies that are delicious and easy to make. Add them to your Christmas baking list for when your oven is full!
With all of the holiday baking and cooking, I love adding a few no-bake truffle recipes to the line-up for those times when either my oven is already full or for when I don’t feel like turning the oven on. Last year, I made holiday dessert trays for my husband to deliver to his clients.
I had chocolate in my slow cooker, cookies in the oven and no-bake truffles on the counter! It was a delicious mess in my kitchen. Today’s recipe for Eggnog Truffles, are and easy, bite-sized, treat that is perfect for adding to holiday cookie platter!
To make the truffles, mix together melted white chocolate chips and eggnog with crushed vanilla sandwich cookies until combined. Place in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to thicken. Use a one tablespoon dough scoop to make even sized truffles. Roll the truffles between your hands to make them into smooth balls. Place on a parchment covered tray and freezer for 15 minutes. Dip the truffles into melted chocolate.
Or if you are pressed for time coat the truffles with powdered sugar instead. I made a batch coated in powdered sugar for my husband’s co-workers and they loved them!
Place the dipped truffles on a parchment covered tray and sprinkle immediately with the extra cookie crumbles before the white chocolate hardens. One the coating is set, store the truffles in the fridge in covered container.
These Eggnog Truffles are an easy, delicious, bite-sized dessert that will look great on a tray of holiday cookies. Put some of the truffles in a small mason jar or cellophane bag with a pretty ribbon and give them as a gift from the kitchen!

How did you melt the candy melts? When I use white chocolate it doesn’t melt as smooth as what I see in your photos

Followed the recipe perfectly and have only a soft, gooey mess. Much too soft to hold their shape. I added about a cup of powdered sugar to attempt to thicken, and it did very little. I’ve left the bowl in the freezer overnight and will try again to roll when I get home from work. Maybe I will need to add more cookie…?

This same thing happened to me. Followed the recipe exactly and got slushy goo which wouldn’t hold its shape. =(

2 3/4 cups crushed vanilla sandwich cookies divided (I used Golden Oreos)
“Divided” does that mean without the icing center of the cookie?
Tonia says
Sorry that was unclear. I crushed the whole oreos but divided the 2 3/4 cups into 2 1/2 cups and 1/4 cup. I used 2 1/2 cups for the crushed oreos for the inside and used the remaining 1/4 cup for sprinkling on the tops.

Is the cream listed in the instructions refer to the eggnog?
Tonia says
Yes sorry! I updated that. Enjoy! ~Tonia
Kaila says
Does it have a great egg nog taste? I wanna make some that will bring out the egg nog flavor.
Liz says
Doesn’t taste like eggnog at all unfortunately. Just tastes like white chocolate.
Jessica says
The recipe says to do 2 different things with the white chocolate chips and it doesn’t say anything about doing something with the vanilla candy melts
Tonia says
Thanks for the heads up! I’ve updated the recipe.
