S’more Rice Krispie Treats include toasted mini marshmallows, chopped Hershey’s bars, and graham crackers for the ultimate treat!
These bars are a soft, gooey combination of two of our favorite treats: smores and rice krispies treats! Although they are perfect for summer because they are a no-bake dessert, you can enjoy them all year long.
What You’ll Find In This Post
S’mores Rice Krispie Treats Ingredients
Marshmallows
For these s’mores rice krispies treats, I wanted to capture the flavor of campfire s’mores, so I used toasted marshmallows in addition to the plain ones! But you can skip toasting them if you prefer.
Chocolate
A s’more isn’t complete without Hershey’s milk chocolate bars! I chopped up full-size candy bars. Another option would be to use milk chocolate chips.
Graham Crackers
Rather than use graham crackers, I used mini Tedd Grahams so that they didn’t have to be chopped up. That being said, you can cut or break sheets of graham crackers into small pieces if you’d like.
Crispy Rice Cereal
You’ll also need Rice Krispies cereal, plain marshmallows, and butter to make the base of the treats.
How To Make Smore Rice Krispie Treats
Prepare Mix-Ins
Start by toasting mini marshmallows under the broiler on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and set aside to cool. Then, chop the Hershey’s milk chocolate bars into small pieces. Set aside a small amount of the toasted mini marshmallows and chopped milk chocolate bars to use as a garnish.
Make Rice Krispie Treats
Melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Add the remaining mini marshmallows and stir to coat them with the melted butter. Return the bowl to the microwave for 45 seconds, and stir until smooth. You can return them to the microwave for 10-15 seconds longer if necessary. Stir in the Rice Krispies cereal.
S’mores Ingredients
Stir in the mini toasted marshmallows, chopped Hershey’s bars, and mini Teddy Grahams. Then, press the smore rice krispie treats into a greased 9-inch square pan. Finally, top with the pieces you set aside as a garnish and press into the rice krispie treats. Allow the bars to cool before cutting them into squares.
Storage
- Leftovers: Rice krispies bars are best when they are fresh! If you do have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container or zip-top bag for up to three days.
- Refrigeration: These treats don’t need to be refrigerated, but if you prefer chilled treats, you can store them in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
- Freezer: Leftover smore rice krispie treats can be stored in the freezer in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to a month.

just made these. I used crunched up graham crackers and chocolate chips and I didn’t toast the marshmallows. Also, I melted the butter and marshmallows on the stovetop. They didn’t exactly mix up great, but I didn’t mix it all in before I put in the melted marshmallow. They turned out wonderfully though!! They’re chilling now and I’ll cut them tomorrow.
