This cheddar cheese fondue recipe is kid-friendly cheese dip that can be used as an appetizer or as a fun dinner! Serve with cubed bread, fruit and veggies.
For the first week, the menu item that I made was the appetizer. I decided to make Cheese Fondue that can be served with fresh veggies, apple slices and crusty cubes of bread.

How To Make Cheddar Cheese Fondue
To make the cheese fondue, you need shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, sparkling apple cider, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper.
Use fresh veggies like cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli along with apples and crusty bread for dipping.
Heat the sparkling apple juice (can also use whole milk or apple juice) and chopped garlic in a saucepan. SLOWLY add the shredded cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese about 1/2 cup at a time, whisking with a fork until smooth.
Blend in black pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Serve immediately.
Cut the veggies into bite-sized pieces, the bread into cubes and the apples into thin slices. Put all of the dippers into bowls.
Take a small bowl and place it in the center of a large plate. Fill the bowl with the cheese fondue and fill the plate with the veggies, apples, and bread. This cheese fondue is so delicious and very kid friendly! After I made the fondue and took my pictures, my sister’s kids called to see if my kids wanted to go to their house to play and have pizza for dinner.
They live within walking distance and before my kids headed out the door, I put the leftover cheese fondue and the cubed bread into a bag for them to take along. A few days later, both my sister and my brother-in-law told me how good the cheese fondue was. My sister said that she warmed up half of the fondue at first and it quickly disappeared.
So, she told the kids not to worry, there was plenty more and warmed up the second half which they also ate! If you do plan to reheat the cheese fondue, I want you to know the cheese does not melt as smoothly when reheating. My sister and all of the kids didn’t mind a bit and said that it was delicious.
