This chicken stir fry recipe quick, easy family dinner recipe is great for busy nights. You can substitute beef for the chicken and rice for the noodles.
On Monday, I shared a recipe for stir fry sauce and the first meal I made with the stir fry sauce is Chicken Stir Fry over noodles. When I’ve made stir fry in the past, I’ve always served it over rice. My mom told me recently that she uses angel hair pasta instead of rice. It was really good that way and so easy to make!
Start by heating water for the pasta. While waiting, cut one pound of chicken into cubes, add two tablespoons of stir fry sauce and stir to coat.
Let the chicken and sauce sit while heating two tablespoons of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the pasta to the boiling water, so that it can cook while you are stir frying the chicken and veggies. Then, carefully add the chicken to the saucepan and stir fry for four minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
Next, heat one tablespoon of oil using the same pan. Add about 5 cups of veggies, cut into bite sized pieces. I used cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, peas and peppers. Stir fry over medium heat for three minutes. When the pasta in done cooking, drain and rinse it and set it aside.
Add the chicken, water and stir fry sauce to the vegetables in the saucepan. Cook for about three minutes until heated through.
Serve over the pasta, adding more stir fry sauce if desired. This quick, easy family dinner recipe is great for busy evenings. Chicken Stir Fry is a good way to use up extra veggies too. You can substitute beef or pork for the chicken and rice or quinoa for the noodles.

I made a stir fry recipe some years ago from your website and it was made from boneless chicken thighs that were marinated. Do you remember this? I wouls really like to try it again.
Thanks,

Hi Molly,
I’m not sure. I have an orange chicken recipe that I posted over 7 years ago where the chicken is marinated. You can use chicken breasts or chicken thighs https://www.thegunnysack.com/orange-chicken-30-minute-skillet-recipe/

The stir fry sauce is delicious! I love this recipe. I made it for the first time with shrimp as my protein and broccoli florets and big slices of carrots for my veggies and served it over rice, but I look forward to trying chicken next and with noodles. Thanks for sharing!

Having rinsed the pasta and then set it aside, isn’t it cold by the time you use it?
Otherwise this looks a great recipe.
