These Chocolate Revel Bars have a combination of gooey chocolate with chewy oatmeal. They are easy to make with ingredients you have on hand.
When you need to make a dessert for a crowd, go for one that you can make in a jelly roll pan, like these chocolate revel bars, with lots of servings!
Cream together:
1 1/2 cups softened butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Then add:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups oatmeal
Pat 3/4 of the mixture into a jelly roll pan (16x12x1).
Melt together:
1/2 cup butter
12 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
Then add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Spread chocolate mixture over the oatmeal layer in the jelly roll pan.
Sprinkle with remaining oatmeal mixture.
Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes and allow to cool before cutting the chocolate revel bars into squares.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups softened butter
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 1 ½ cups flour

- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Cream together 1 1/2 cups softened butter and brown sugar.
- Add flour, salt, baking soda and oatmeal. Mix well.
- Pat 3/4 of the mixture into a greased, rimmed jelly roll pan.
- Melt 1/2 cup butter, chocolate chips, and milk in the microwave for one minute. Stir and continue heating and stirring in 15-second intervals.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Spread chocolate mixture over the oatmeal layer.
- Sprinkle with remaining oatmeal mixture.
- Bake at 350°F for 22-25 minutes and allow to cool before cutting into squares.
